The OSSD is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Start by understanding how your previous studies will be assessed, which requirements remain and how your course choices support your university goals.
Ask the receiving school to identify recognised credits, remaining courses, literacy and community involvement requirements, and any other rules that apply to your background and entry year. Check Ontario’s official graduation guidance and request an individual written assessment.
List the subjects required for your intended degree, then plan prerequisite courses in the right order. For science or engineering, check the exact mathematics and science requirements of each programme rather than choosing courses solely for their expected marks.
Record course starts, assignment deadlines, expected completion dates and university document deadlines together. If you are also taking the DSE or another curriculum, check for clashes and allow time for examinations and follow-up documents.
