Trillium School is committed to establishing within each of our students a strong foundation of work and study skills; a varied and extensive base of knowledge; and the ability to critically examine, discuss, and assess the world around them. These are skills that will serve them well going forward.
Success in today’s modern global economy requires a new set of competencies. Our team is committed to meeting this demand. We work hard to develop our students’ teamwork skills; their ability to adapt quickly to change and remain flexible in their thinking; as well as their proficiency in public speaking. Trillium’s senior students are directly taught the qualities that strong, effective leaders possess and are presented with numerous opportunities to practice their leadership skills.
These are the hallmarks of Trillium School. By the time students graduate, they will be global citizens who are compassionate and tolerant in their perspective. They will have the self-confidence to try new things and the strong sense of self needed to drive them forward in pursuit of the highest in social, moral, and work standards.
Trillium high school provides an enriched, challenging academic program in a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Students are encouraged to show initiative and leadership, and to challenge themselves to reach their full potential.
Curriculum
Our rigorous yet flexible curriculum is designed to help each student develop the skills and confidence needed to attain success at university and their future careers. Each student is expected to successfully complete 30 credits from a variety of subjects in order to receive an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). There are 18 compulsory credits and 12 optional (elective) credits.
STEM
Trillium School STEM program is designed to cultivate critical thinkers through enriched curriculum on Science, Math, and Computer Technology disciplines with experiences beyond the class. The STEM program provides an enriched learning opportunity for students who are interested in applying their knowledge and skills in Science, Math, and Computer Technology by offering an interdisciplinary method to deepen their critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Trillium students are taught STEM through their active role in their learning as decision makers, creators, and investigators. Students are encouraged to develop creative and innovative solutions to real world issues, preparing them to meet the demands of our ever-changing and inter-connected world.
