Bishop Garcia Diego High School provides a rigorous college preparatory program for young men and women in grades 9th-12th. Founded as Santa Barbara Catholic High School in 1940, the school relocated in 1959 and was renamed in honor of Francisco Garcia Diego y Moreno,
the first bishop of California. The school is independently operated and is governed by a
Board of Trustees.
