For more information on NCEA please go to www.nzqa.govt.nz The school offers a wide range of subjects which prepare students for national qualifications and further education. Northcote College students are accepted at all tertiary institutions. Students can take subjects at more than one level. For example a student with strong mathematics ability may study mathematics at a level above their other subjects. Senior students (Year 1113) finish formal classes around mid-November to go on study leave for national NCEA examinations.These exams usually finish by early December. Short-term international students do not usually sit these exams so will be able to take part in a special English/activity programme in November.
