Other Information: Located in the heart of the town of Oakville, Ontario Canada, MacLachlan College is an independent university preparatory school for 350 boys and girls, Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. MacLachlan was founded in 1978 on the vision of a school that embraces solid concepts of academic excellence within a stimulating, dynamic environment that nurtures the joy of learning.
Our primary children are provided with a rich opportunity to gain the necessary skills which place little feet firmly on the path to academic success. Throughout the school a well-defined and structured educational approach cultivates strong academic performance culminating in the opportunity for MacLachlan students to graduate with Advanced Placement University Credit Courses, giving them an ’edge’ in their university applications.
At the senior school level (grades 9 to 12), students who successfully complete all ESL courses will attain credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Integrated Regular Classes International students take regular classes with Canadian students. The amount of classes taken will vary according to the proficiency of students in English. Integrated classes will constitute a minimum of four of the eight periods during the school day. Modifications in programming and evaluation will be made on an individual basis to meet the academic needs of all students.
