Our schools are in three small safe cities located in Trenton (population 17,000), Belleville (population 47,000) and Kingston (population 100,000). An excellent pre-university secondary school program is available. This is for students 14 to 19 years of age and leads to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Students may begin the program either in February or September. You can come for a short period of five to six months, one year or until the completion of Secondary School. The percentage of international students is less than 3% of our population of students. This allows for a true Canadian cultural experience while studying in one of our five secondary schools. English as a second language is offered in all secondary schools. The length of the course adapts to the needs of student. The Algonquin and Lakeshore District School board offers a full range of academic programs from Grades 9 through 12. This curriculum leads to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The subjects available include French, English, geography, chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, the arts and technology studies. We believe that all students studying with us should have a balance of mind, body and spirit. This is why religion courses are offered within our curriculum. English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are offered as well. They are included in the regular school program.
