The Junior Graduating College is a two-year programme for students in Years 9 and 10.
The Junior College curriculum is built on the seven essential learning areas of the National Curriculum statement. It is specifically designed
to ensure that all graduating students have the skills to succeed in their quest for qualifications in the Senior College (Years 11,12 and 13).
Hagley has established a Year 11 Graduating College to ensure all students studying at this level have the maximum opportunity to be successful learners.The programme is for one year. It is designed to build students learning skills and to reward them for those skills so that they will achieve their Level 1 National Certificate in Educational Achievement.There are pre-requisites for entry into the Year 11 Graduating College to ensure students have the necessary self-management skills to be studying at this level.
The senior college refers to students studying at Years 12-14 and at Hagley Community College most of our students study in this part of the college. The senior college offers over 175 different choices of subjects and programmes. All subjects have national qualifications and staircase into more advanced learning. Students are able to study at different times of the day and may undertake full-time or part-time study.
